Meet Our Staff
Kyle joined Azalea Trail Nursing and Rehab in August 2011. Kyle graduated from Grand Saline High School in 2008 and from Texas A&M University in August 2011 where he received his Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Development. In 2012 he obtained his Nursing Facility Administrator’s License. Kyle completed his Master of Public Administration/Healthcare Administration degree in December 2015. In his spare time, Kyle enjoys playing golf, watching sports, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Peggy has enjoyed working at Azalea Trail in the medical records department since March 2007. Before coming to Azalea Trail she worked for a home health agency. Peggy is married and has two sons. She has one grandson that is the joy of her life and she enjoys spending her spare time with her family. She has lived her all her life in Grand Saline, TX.
Business Office Manager
Marilyn came to work for Azalea Trail Nursing & Rehab in 2006 as the Business Office Manager. Prior to coming to Long Term Care Marilyn worked as the office manager in a doctors office. Marilyn has lived in Grand Saline all her life. She has one son and enjoys spending time with her family.
Dietary Service Manager
Isabel was born and raised in Mexico and moved to Texas in 1981. She lived in West Texas for eight years and moved to Grand Saline in 1989. Isabel started working at Azalea Trail in 2006. She has been married for 32 years and has 4 children. Isabel enjoys working at Azalea Trail.
Sharina joined Azalea Trail Nursing and Rehabilitation in August 2016. She was born and raised in Dallas and completed her Master’s degree at the University of Texas in Arlington in 2005. Sharina relocated to East Texas from the DFW area in August of 2015. She says it is the natural beauty and sense of community that attracted her to the piney woods of East Texas. “There is just something about East Texas that uplifts and rejuvenates the Spirit!”
Sharina has genuine care, concern and a passion for people. She feels very blessed to be able to be of service in the loving and warm environment that is Azalea Trail Nursing and Rehab. In her spare time, Sharina enjoys attending church, fishing, travel, and spending time with her family.
Christina Jacobs has lived in the Grand Saline area for 8 years and really enjoys the small town life. She has been married for 11 years and has two wonderful kids. Christina works as the housekeeping supervisor and has been with Azalea Trail for 9 months. In her downtime she enjoys watching her children play baseball and other sports.
Lisa Cobb has been the activity director for Azalea Trail for 3 ½ years. She is married to Sam Cobb and has two children, Bradley 27, and Brittany 24. Bradley and his wife Candice have blessed her with two beautiful granddaughters, Maddison 9, and Allison 7. They are the light that brightens her world. Lisa enjoys spending time with her family, camping, hunting, and fishing. She loves the residents at Azalea Trail and feels very blessed to be able to work in her hometown where she has known the residents and their families her whole life. “Azalea Trail truly feels like home to me.”
Cathy has been a Registered Nurse for 20 years. She graduated from Trinity Valley Community College in May 1006. After working for almost a year in a hospital setting, she accepted a job with Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Canton where she worked for almost 17 years until their closing in November 2013. For the next 2 ½ years, she worked as the Director of Nursing at Mabank Nursing Home in Mabank. Cathy has just recently joined the Azalea Trail team as the MDS Coordinator, a role in which she has had 15 years prior experience. Cathy says she is looking forward to working with the staff and residents at Azalea Trail.
Charles has lived in Canton his entire life and is the father to 2 beautiful children, Wyatt and Candyce. Charles is engaged to be married. He has worked in construction work since the age of 13, working alongside his father. Charles is new to the Azalea Trail family, but is excited to be a part of the team. In his spare time, he likes to spend time with his family, hunting, fishing, and restoring classic cars.
Melissa Saxon, RN
Elaine joined the Azalea Trail team in July 2015. Elaine is responsible for managing the nursing/direct care staff. She has been a registered nurse for 9 years receiving her degree at Trinity Valley Community College in May of 2007. Elaine is extremely blessed to be part of the Azalea Trail Nursing team. Elaine enjoys spending time with her husband as well as her kids and grandkids. She and her family enjoy spending time doing outdoors adventures.
Ginger Cortemelia, LVN,
Ginger joined the team at Azalea Trail Nursing in 2008 and advanced her career in nursing to Assistant Director of Nursing in 2014. Ginger is responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing with managing nursing/direct care staff. Ginger graduated from Tyler Junior College with her licensed vocational nurse degree in 2008. Ginger has worked her whole nursing career with the amazing team at Azalea Trail Nursing. She is married and has four children. She enjoys spending time with her family.
